With your support, Shoresh is creating a more sustainable and connected Jewish community. Support our work while honouring a friend or loved by making a donation or adopting a tree today to Shoresh in their honour or memory.

In 2017. Shoresh planted 11,000 trees at Bela Farm. We named our 20-acre reforestation project, the Forest for the Future, as it will mitigate the harmful effects of excess carbon dioxide and its impact on global climate change; will  maintain and restore important animal habitat, and leave future generations a beautiful native forest where they can connect to themselves, the earth and Jewish tradition.

By adopting a tree at Bela Farm, you are investing in a sustainable future, while supporting the maintenance of our collective Forest for the Future. 

If you are making a tribute donation, Shoresh will send a card/certificate or e-card with your personalized message to the individual or their family acknowledging your thoughtful gift. You can give a general donation of any amount or choose to designate your gift towards a particular project or program.

Adopt-a-Tree in honour or memory of a loved one. To adopt a tree, click here.  We will send a certificate to your honouree/notification recipient, so please make sure to fill out the form completely including how you are designating your donation, who the gift is honouring, who you would like Shoresh to notify regarding the gift (and their contact information), and any additional message you would like us to include in the notification.

• $36 – Adopt a native tree in our Forest for the Future at Bela Farm.
• $72 – Adopt TWO native trees…so they can hang out together!

Tree Sponsorship Packages

Shoresh is thrilled to share with you our Tree Sponsorship Packages, a powerful way for organisations to respond to the climate crisis. With these Tree Sponsorship packages, you have to option to adopt trees either in honour of  community members’ milestones and achievements or in memory of their loved ones. Adopting a tree in our Forest for the Future offers a tangible way to mark births, b’nei mitzvahs, weddings, graduations, and passings.

How it works:

1. Purchase a package of Tree Sponsorship Certificates by emailing tamar@shoresh.ca
2. Shoresh will mail out Tree Sponsorship Certificates
3. Shoresh will record each tree adoption in our Book of Life
