Shoresh’s B’nei Mitzvah Celebration

Click here to register.

Shoresh is celebrating our B’nei Mitzvah this year!  We are BURSTING with pride for what our community has collectively manifested over the last 13 years.  For some impressive quantitative metrics, check out our 13 Years by the Numbers graphic below!

As Shoresh enters into an exciting new stage of organizational grounding and growing, we are thrilled to be hosting a virtual celebration of the people, plants, and pollinators who have defined Shoresh’s first 13 years.

Please join us on Wednesday, October 27th, 2021 from 8:00-9:00pm so we can kvell (share proudly) as a community!

Shoresh’s B’nei Mitzvah Celebration will feature:

  • A virtual candle lighting ceremony, honouring our dearest friends, partners, and supporters
  • Special performances and mazel tov blessings from Juno-nominated and Canadian Folk Music Award-winning artist Aviva Chernick, Canadian rapper Socalled with the Toronto Jazz Orchestra from the Ashkenaz Nu? Normal! Barn Sessions at Bela Farm; and spoken-word poet Emily Antflick;
  • Reflections on 13 years of Shoresh from founder (and out-going Executive Director) Risa Alyson Cooper (and a chance to meet Shoresh’s new leadership team!)

Tickets are FREE!  Want to attend AND support Shoresh’s transformative work with a donation?  You can make a (fully tax-deductible) donation when you register for the event…not to worry!
