Kavanah Kids Summer Program

This summer, give your kids the chance to discover the many different plants and animals that live and thrive at the KavanahGarden, Shoresh’s Jewish organic garden in Vaughan!

Our half-day, week-long programs feature garden and nature-based activities, crafts, drama and movement, food preparation, storytelling, and more!

Two exciting summer programs to choose from!
Space is very limited so sign up today!

Creatures and Critters – July 9-13, 2012 (9am-12pm)

The Talmud teaches us that every animal has a purpose!  Discover some of the many creatures and critters that live in our soil, visit our flowers, eat from our birdfeeders, and help our garden grow!  Through hands-on garden crafts and activities, kids will make new fury, feathered, scaly, and slimy animal friends at the Kavanah Garden!

Garden Guardians – August 13-17, 2012 (9am-12pm)

According to the Talmud, we are forbidden to live in a city without a vegetable garden!  Help plant, weed, water, and harvest for tzedakah, while learning how to prepare healthy snacks with our bicycle-powered blender.  Through hands-on garden crafts and activities, kids will have fun growing with the Kavanah Garden!

Ages: 6-10 years old
Location: Kavanah Garden (18 Lebovic Campus Drive)
Cost: $150/child/session (or $275 for both sessions!)
